Description

A freezer-friendly booster that turns any smoothie into a satisfying, energy-packed meal with anti-inflammatory benefits.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons fresh turmeric root or 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Zest of half a lemon
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons hemp hearts
  • 1 soft date or 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or almond butter
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • A small pinch of sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons water or coconut water

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth and thick.
  2. Spoon mixture into silicone ice cube trays or mini molds.
  3. Freeze until firm, then pop into a freezer bag.
  4. Use one bomb per smoothie for a light snack, or two for a bigger meal.

Notes

Best enjoyed with a cup of liquid, a cup of fruit, and optional greens or frozen cauliflower rice. Adjust sweetness with more fruit if desired.
