Description

A vibrant and refreshing smoothie featuring dragon fruit, banana, and hibiscus, perfect for a light breakfast or a pre-workout sip.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dragon fruit, fresh or frozen
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced and frozen
  • 1 tablespoon dried hibiscus petals or 2 hibiscus tea bags steeped in 1/2 cup hot water, cooled
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup, optional
  • A handful of ice
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Steep the hibiscus in hot water for 5 to 7 minutes, then chill.
  2. Add dragon fruit, banana, cooled hibiscus tea, coconut milk, lime juice, and a pinch of salt to the blender.
  3. Blend until smooth. Taste and add sweetener as necessary.
  4. Adjust the thickness with more milk or a handful of ice.
  5. Pour and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For an extra protein boost, add a scoop of vanilla protein powder or yogurt. You can also freeze the smoothie base in cubes for quick use later.
