Description
A refreshing tropical drink made with star fruit, mango, and lime, perfect for hot weather and winding down.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe star fruits, washed and sliced, seeds removed
- 1 heaping cup ripe mango, diced (fresh or frozen)
- Juice of 2 limes, plus extra to taste
- 1 to 1.5 cups cold coconut water or cold filtered water
- 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or agave, optional and to taste
- A pinch of sea salt to sharpen flavors
- 1 to 1.5 cups ice, as needed
Instructions
- Prep the fruit by trimming the star fruit ridges if they look bruised, then slice and remove any seeds. Dice the mango.
- Add star fruit, mango, lime juice, 1 cup of your liquid, and a pinch of salt to the blender. Blend until smooth.
- Taste the mixture. If you prefer it sweeter, add a touch of honey or agave. If it’s too thick, splash in more liquid.
- Blend again with ice until frosty. Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with a thin star fruit slice if desired.
Notes
For a frosty slushie, use frozen mango and extra ice. This juice is best fresh but can be stored without ice for up to 24 hours.
