Description

A refreshing lemon water detox drink that energizes and rejuvenates for sluggish mornings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 8 to 10 ounces filtered water
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Optional: Slice of fresh ginger, mint leaves, pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Juice 1 lemon to get about 2 tablespoons of fresh juice.
  2. Pour the juice into a glass with 8 to 10 ounces of filtered water.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup and a pinch of cayenne.
  4. Stir or shake until the maple fully dissolves. Taste and adjust as necessary.
  5. Optional: Add a thin slice of ginger or a few torn mint leaves and let sit for 1 minute to infuse.
  6. Drink slowly and notice how you feel.

Notes

Keep your glass near your toothbrush for a reminder to drink it. You can prepare the juice in advance and store it in the fridge.
