Cucumber Basil Mocktail

Description

A refreshing mocktail featuring crisp cucumber, fragrant basil, and a splash of lime, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced, plus a few slices for garnish
  • 6 to 8 fresh basil leaves, plus extra for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice, more to taste
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or simple syrup, optional
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1 cup cold sparkling water
  • Plenty of ice

Instructions

  1. Add cucumber slices and basil leaves to the bottom of a sturdy glass. Sprinkle on a pinch of salt.
  2. Muddle gently for 10 to 15 seconds to bruise the basil and release its oils.
  3. Stir in lime juice and honey. Taste and adjust as needed.
  4. Fill the glass with ice. Pour in sparkling water and gently stir to combine.
  5. Top with a basil sprig and a few cucumber slices. Serve immediately.

Notes

Great for brunches, baby showers, or post-workout snacks. Try swapping pineapple juice for half the sparkling water for a fruity twist.
