Gwyneth Paltrow’s Honey Turmeric Drink


Description

A warm and soothing turmeric drink that provides comfort and health benefits with a simple blend of ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (or a few slices fresh)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey (or maple syrup, to taste)
  • Optional: tiny splash of vanilla

Instructions

  1. Add the milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper to a small pot.
  2. Warm gently over medium-low heat, whisking occasionally until steamy but not boiling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in honey. Adjust sweetness or spice as desired.
  4. Pour into your favorite mug. For foam, whisk vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds or use a handheld frother.

Notes

For a lighter cup, swap half the milk for hot water. Prepare a spice mix for the week to make it quicker.
