Ingredients

- 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (or a few slices fresh)
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1 to 2 teaspoons honey (or maple syrup, to taste)
- Optional: tiny splash of vanilla
Instructions
- Add the milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper to a small pot.
- Warm gently over medium-low heat, whisking occasionally until steamy but not boiling.
- Remove from heat and stir in honey. Adjust sweetness or spice as desired.
- Pour into your favorite mug. For foam, whisk vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds or use a handheld frother.
Notes
For a lighter cup, swap half the milk for hot water. Prepare a spice mix for the week to make it quicker.
