Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium apple, cored and chopped
  • 1 cup kale, packed
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1 cup cold water or coconut water
  • Half a banana
  • Half a lemon, juiced
  • Ice, a handful (optional)
  • Optional add-ins: chia seeds, flax meal, yogurt, or protein powder

Instructions

  1. Place the cold water or coconut water in the blender.
  2. Add the banana and lemon juice.
  3. Then, add the kale, apple, carrot, and ginger.
  4. Blend on low to start, then increase to high until the texture is smooth.
  5. If the blend is too thick, add a splash more water.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as desired.
  7. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
