Ingredients

- 1 medium apple, cored and chopped
- 1 cup kale, packed
- 1 medium carrot, peeled and sliced
- 1 small piece of fresh ginger (optional)
- 1 cup cold water or coconut water
- Half a banana
- Half a lemon, juiced
- Ice, a handful (optional)
- Optional add-ins: chia seeds, flax meal, yogurt, or protein powder
Instructions
- Place the cold water or coconut water in the blender.
- Add the banana and lemon juice.
- Then, add the kale, apple, carrot, and ginger.
- Blend on low to start, then increase to high until the texture is smooth.
- If the blend is too thick, add a splash more water.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as desired.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!
