- 1 cup fresh or frozen aronia berries
- 2 medium sweet apples, cored
- 1 heaping cup pitted cherries, fresh or frozen
- 1 small lemon, peeled
- Small knob of fresh ginger (optional, about 1 inch)
- Cold water or ice, as needed if using a blender
- Honey or maple syrup to taste, optional
Instructions
- Wash everything well. Core the apples and pit the cherries if needed. If using frozen fruit, let it soften slightly.
- Using a juicer: Juice apple, cherry, aronia, lemon, and ginger. Stir, taste, and adjust with honey if desired.
- Using a blender: Add all ingredients with a splash of water. Blend on high until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag for a clearer juice.
- Chill or pour over ice. Enjoy really cold for the brightest flavor.
Notes
Use sweet apples for a smoother taste. Fresh lemon keeps the color bright. For a gentler drink, dilute with cold or sparkling water.
