Papaya Ginger Smoothie


Description

A refreshing and creamy smoothie that combines ripe papaya, ginger, and yogurt for a tropical treat that’s gentle on the stomach.


Ingredients

  • 1 heaping cup ripe papaya, cubed and chilled
  • 1 small ripe banana, frozen if possible
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated or finely minced
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened coconut water or water
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt or dairy-free yogurt
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup, optional
  • A few ice cubes, optional

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients until silky.
  2. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime juice as needed.
  3. Add more ginger or yogurt for extra flavor and creaminess if desired.

Notes

For a nutrient boost, consider adding chia seeds, flax seeds, or a scoop of protein powder. The smoothie can be prepped in advance by measuring out the fruit and ginger.
