Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt
  • 1 cup milk of choice (regular, almond, or oat)
  • 1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice
  • 12 tablespoons honey, maple syrup, or dates (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional boosts: chia seeds, ground flax, or protein powder

Instructions

  1. Prep the papaya: Slice it in half, scoop out the seeds, and peel the skin. Chop into chunks. Freeze some if you want a thicker smoothie.
  2. Add liquids first: Pour milk and yogurt into the blender.
  3. Add fruits next: Drop in papaya, strawberries, and banana. Then add vanilla, citrus juice, and a tiny pinch of salt.
  4. Blend until smooth: Start on low, then go to medium high until creamy. Adjust thickness with milk or ice as needed.
  5. Taste and adjust: Add sweetener if needed, blend again for a couple seconds, and serve.

Notes

Taste as you go and adjust the sweetness depending on the ripeness of your papaya. This smoothie can easily be made dairy-free by using coconut yogurt and plant-based milk.
