Description
A refreshing and creamy smoothie packed with ripe papaya, strawberries, and banana, perfect for a bright start to your day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ripe papaya, chopped
- 1 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen
- 1 banana
- 1 cup Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt
- 1 cup milk of choice (regular, almond, or oat)
- 1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice
- 1–2 tablespoons honey, maple syrup, or dates (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ice (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- Optional boosts: chia seeds, ground flax, or protein powder
Instructions
- Prep the papaya: Slice it in half, scoop out the seeds, and peel the skin. Chop into chunks. Freeze some if you want a thicker smoothie.
- Add liquids first: Pour milk and yogurt into the blender.
- Add fruits next: Drop in papaya, strawberries, and banana. Then add vanilla, citrus juice, and a tiny pinch of salt.
- Blend until smooth: Start on low, then go to medium high until creamy. Adjust thickness with milk or ice as needed.
- Taste and adjust: Add sweetener if needed, blend again for a couple seconds, and serve.
Notes
Taste as you go and adjust the sweetness depending on the ripeness of your papaya. This smoothie can easily be made dairy-free by using coconut yogurt and plant-based milk.
