Ingredients

- 1 small raw sweet potato, scrubbed and cut into spears
- 2 ripe pears, cored
- 1 small apple, cored
- 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled (optional)
- 1 to 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 to 2 pinches ground cinnamon, to taste
- 1 cup cold water or ice cubes, as needed for consistency
Instructions
- Prep your produce: Wash and core the pears and apple. Scrub the sweet potato well. Peel ginger if using.
- For juicer method: Feed the sweet potato, pear, apple, and ginger through the juicer. Whisk in lemon and cinnamon. Add cold water or ice to thin if needed.
- For blender method: Add chopped sweet potato, pear, apple, ginger, cinnamon, lemon, and 1 cup water. Blend on high until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve if desired.
- Taste and adjust: Add a squeeze more lemon or another pinch of cinnamon, if needed.
- Serve cold.
Notes
Add cinnamon slowly and taste as you go. Using firm but ripe pears ensures the best flavor.
