Description
A soothing turmeric golden milk recipe that promotes relaxation and wellness, perfect for chilly evenings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or unsweetened almond milk)
- 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Small pinch ground ginger or a few slices fresh ginger
- Small pinch black pepper
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup, to taste
- Optional: 1 teaspoon coconut oil or ghee for richness
- Optional: tiny splash vanilla extract
Instructions
- Warm the milk in a small saucepan over low to medium heat until steamy but not boiling.
- Whisk in turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper. Keep whisking for 1 to 2 minutes so the spices bloom and the flavor deepens.
- Turn off the heat. Add honey or maple syrup to taste. Stir in coconut oil or ghee if you like a creamier sip.
- Pour into a mug. For a frothy top, blend with a handheld frother for 10 to 15 seconds.
- Drink warm. Smile. Breathe.
Notes
Don’t skip the black pepper for better absorption of curcumin. Clean your mug and pan right after use to avoid staining.
